Key takeaways

  1. 01 The seller describes delivery two ways: an emailed track you download to a phone or computer, and a Private Audio Portal you log in to. Look for both kinds of email.
  2. 02 Track, login and playback problems go to the seller at [email protected]. Payment, receipt and refund questions go to ClickBank on 1-800-390-6035 or clkbank.com.
  3. 03 Your ClickBank receipt, with its order number, is the one document every fix depends on. Find it first.
  4. 04 If you never get working access, the Terms allow a refund on digital products requested within 90 days of purchase, and the ClickBank checkout states the same window.

You paid $39, the card was charged, and your genius song download (The Genius Song track) is nowhere to be found. Or an email did turn up, but the login it contains gets rejected, or the file sits on your phone and refuses to play. This page is for that moment. Instead of describing how delivery is meant to go (our walk-through of the normal delivery steps does that), it starts from the problem: what you are seeing, the likely reason, what to try, who to write to and, if all else fails, how to get your money back.

First, who is writing: we are an independent site, and this page is ours, not the seller’s. Every button here is an affiliate link: if you buy after clicking one, we may be paid a commission. That changes nothing in the advice below, which is mostly about getting help out of the seller and out of ClickBank.

What the seller says should reach you

Part of the confusion comes from the seller itself. Its pages describe the delivery in two different ways, so buyers are not always sure what they are waiting for. In short, you are owed an audio track delivered digitally, and the seller talks about an emailed download in one place and a Private Audio Portal login in another. We have not purchased it ourselves, so which of the two arrives, or whether both do, is something we cannot confirm.

Where the seller says itWhat it saysSo look for
Sales videoThe track is “emailed to you in a matter of minutes”An email carrying the track or a link to it
Video FAQ“Download the digital audio track to your phone or computer”A file you save to your own device
/text/ page, order sectionLogin details for a “Private Audio Portal” are emailed; you can “stream from any device”An email with a username and password
ClickBank checkout“Digital Product”, with access once payment is approvedA ClickBank receipt with an order number

None of these pages names a file format, a file size or how long portal access lasts. The seller says the track itself runs about seven minutes. Keep that number in mind: a file that plays for a few seconds and stops is a sign that something went wrong.

No email has arrived

The video promises the track within minutes, so give it a short while, then start searching. Check spam, junk, promotions and any “other” tab, and search for “Genius Song” and “ClickBank”. The receipt matters most, because it proves the order exists and carries the order number every later step needs.

If you find the receipt but no track, the order went through and delivery is the issue: email the seller. If you find nothing at all, look at your card or bank statement. A charge shows up as CLKBANK*Genius Song. A charge with no receipt usually means the confirmation went to a mistyped address, and ClickBank’s order support is the right place to ask, since it holds the order details.

The portal login does not work

The /text/ page says your secure login details are emailed after checkout. If they fail, check the simple things first. Use the exact address you gave at checkout. Paste the password without a trailing space. Try a private browser window or a different browser. If none of that helps, write to product support with the order number and the exact error message, and ask for the login to be reset or resent. Do not place a second order to get new details; you would only pay twice.

The file will not play

A track that will not open has usually not downloaded completely, or the app you are using cannot read it. Download it again on a steady Wi-Fi connection. On a phone, a link sometimes opens in the browser instead of saving, so try downloading on a computer and then moving the file across. Try a second media player. Check that the volume is up and your headphones are connected. If it still fails, ask the seller which format the file is, because its pages never say.

The track vanished months later

Phones get replaced and files get cleared out. If you were given a portal login, sign in again first. Otherwise email product support with the order number, the address you bought with and the date of purchase, and ask for the track to be sent again. The seller publishes no policy on repeat downloads, so this is a request, not a right. Do not ask a friend who bought it to send you their copy: the Terms describe each purchase as a single-user, personal-use copy that may not be shared.

Who to contact, and what to tell them

Two different parties are involved, and writing to the wrong one wastes days. The seller supplies the audio. ClickBank runs the checkout, takes the payment and is named as the retailer on the seller’s pages.

The seller’s address comes from the “For Product Support” link on its sales pages and from its Terms. The ClickBank number is printed on the checkout page.

Whichever you contact, put these details in the first message so nobody has to ask:

  • the order number from the ClickBank receipt;
  • the email address you used at checkout;
  • the date you paid;
  • what exactly happens, word for word if there is an error message;
  • the device and app or browser you are using.

One side effect of buying: the Terms say purchasers are added to email lists run by Happy Consumer Publishing, which may also promote other offers. Each of those emails carries an unsubscribe link.

When nothing works: the refund route

If you have written to both and still cannot listen, you do not have to keep chasing. The seller’s Terms say: “For Digital Products, you may get a refund on any purchase requested within 90 days of your initial purchase.” The ClickBank checkout states a 90-day period as well. Count the days from your purchase date, not from when you gave up.

Somewhere in the site’s footer you may also spot a link to /TOS/refunds/. Ignore that page. What it describes is an old policy for “NeuroActivate” bottles, with a 60-day limit, an unopened-bottles rule and a return address in Ohio, none of which fits a digital track. Ask ClickBank instead, by phone or through clkbank.com, quoting the order number.

A credit card dispute is the last step, not the first. The FTC’s consumer guide on disputing charges explains how that process works; use it only after the seller and ClickBank have had a fair chance to fix things.

When the receipt names a different product

Some access problems are really ordering problems. When we checked, the official site’s front page was promoting another audio from this seller, called The Genius Wave; the page that actually presents The Genius Song is the /video/ page on that same domain. They are two distinct products: the seller describes the Wave as a 12-minute theta track and the Song as a 7-minute gamma track. If your receipt or statement names The Genius Wave and you wanted The Genius Song, call ClickBank with your order number and sort it out inside the 90-day window.

Once it plays: what you have, and what you do not

Getting the file working is one thing. Knowing what it is helps you judge it fairly.

The man narrating the sales video goes by Dr. Robert Lake, and that is a pen name, as the disclaimer at the foot of the site admits: “Robert Lake is a pen name used with the consent of our leading neuroscientist.” The video and the /text/ page also call him a NASA-trained neuroscientist who runs a New York clinic. Those descriptions belong to the sales material; none of them could be checked.

The seller’s Terms are far more modest than the video. Under the heading “For Entertainment Purposes Only”, they state that “brain entrainment is not an exact science and we recommend that you do not treat it as such. The products are provided for entertainment purposes only.” Further down, the seller admits its customer feedback may be performed by “digital representations, avatars, or actors”, that it swaps in pen names, that some storytellers were paid and others are early backers or relatives of the people who founded the company, and that the outcomes shown are exceptional rather than typical. Treat the video’s stories as advertising copy; they are not customer reviews. The same goes for the seller’s figure of 18,366 Americans helped, which the /text/ headline gives as 19,389: we could not verify either number.

As for the science, gamma activity does exist: it is a fast brain rhythm, somewhere around 30 to 100 Hz, that researchers measure on EEG. Research on 40 Hz sound and light, such as the MIT work led by the Tsai lab, has mostly been done in mice and in early Alzheimer’s studies. Reviews of binaural beats and other audio entrainment report small, mixed effects. Nobody has published a trial of this specific recording, and it should never stand in for medical care of any kind.

It is also not an app, a game or a podcast. The seller says it sells the track only through its own site, not on Spotify, YouTube or Amazon.

Listen safely. Our own rule of thumb for audio like this: set the volume where it feels easy, because repeated loud sound can harm hearing (the NIDCD explains how). Listening and driving, or listening while you work machinery, do not mix. Anyone with seizures or epilepsy in their past, or with hearing trouble, should talk it over with a doctor before starting.

How to avoid a repeat

  • Forward the ClickBank receipt to a folder you will not clear out.
  • Write the purchase date and the date 90 days later in your calendar.
  • Keep the track, or the portal login, in two places, such as your phone and a computer.
  • Bookmark the portal page if you were given one.
  • Keep the copy to yourself; sharing breaks the Terms and leaves you with nobody to ask for help.

If you also want to know which file type to expect and how to play it offline, our Genius Song MP3 and file format guide covers that question in detail. For how we judge products like this one, see our methodology.

Our take

Most access problems with this product come down to two things: an email that went to the wrong folder or address, and the seller’s two different descriptions of delivery. Find the receipt, contact the right party, and give it a few days. If working access never arrives, the 90-day refund is your backstop, and ClickBank is the place to claim it.

Frequently asked questions

My card was charged but my inbox is empty. Where do I start?

Search every folder of the inbox you used at checkout, including spam and promotions, for the ClickBank receipt and for anything naming The Genius Song. If the receipt turned up without the track, write to the seller at [email protected] with your order number. If there is no receipt either, check your card statement for CLKBANK*Genius Song and call ClickBank on 1-800-390-6035.

Who should I contact about an access problem with The Genius Song?

The seller handles the product itself: a track that never arrived, a portal login that fails or a file that will not open. Its support address is [email protected]. ClickBank handles the order: the receipt, the charge and refunds. For order help, ClickBank lists clkbank.com and the phone line 1-800-390-6035.

Can I get the track again after deleting it?

The seller does not publish a re-download policy. If you were given portal access, try logging in again first. Otherwise email product support with your order number, the email address you used and the purchase date, and ask for the track to be resent.

Why will the audio not play on my phone?

The most common reasons are a download that did not finish or a player that cannot open the file. Download it again on a stable connection, try a different player or a computer, and ask the seller what format the file is, since its pages do not say.

Can I get my money back if I never managed to listen?

Yes, as long as you ask in time. The seller's Terms give buyers of its digital products 90 days from the original purchase to request their money back, and the ClickBank checkout names a 90-day period too. Request it through ClickBank and keep the receipt.

What if the seller does not answer my support email?

Contact ClickBank, which processed the payment and is the retailer of record on the order. Give it the order number and explain that you have not received working access. A card dispute is a last step, after the seller and ClickBank have both had a fair chance.

How long should I wait before contacting support?

The seller says the track is emailed within minutes of payment. If an hour has passed and a careful search of every inbox folder turns up nothing, write to [email protected] with your order number. Waiting days only eats into the 90-day refund window.
