Methodology
How we review products
Every product on this site goes through the same process. We collect the seller's own documents, check every fact we publish against them, compare the ingredients with human research, and only then write a verdict. This page explains each step, including the limits of what we can know.
How products are chosen
We review products that readers ask about and products that are widely sold online, including many sold only through their own websites. A product being on this site is not an endorsement: some of our reviews conclude that a product is poor value or that its claims are not supported.
No company can pay to be reviewed, to be left out, to change a verdict or to move up a list. We do not accept free products in exchange for coverage.
Where the facts come from
Before anything is written, we build a fact sheet from these documents and keep copies of them.
| Label | The full ingredient panel with amounts, as shown by the seller. If amounts are hidden in a blend, we say so. |
|---|---|
| Sales page | What the seller claims. We report claims as claims and attribute them, we do not repeat them as facts. |
| Terms and refund page | Refund window, subscription rules, shipping and any disclaimers, quoted from the seller's own pages. |
| Checkout page | The real price, the payment processor and the name that appears on a card statement. |
| Research | Human trials and systematic reviews on the main ingredients, linked in the Sources list of each page. |

Our editorial score
Five criteria, 0 to 2 points each, for a total out of 10.
| Criterion | What we look at | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Evidence | Human research on the main ingredients, at the doses actually sold | 0 to 2 |
| Label transparency | Full ingredient amounts disclosed, no hidden proprietary blends | 0 to 2 |
| Safety profile | Known side effects, interactions and warnings, and how clearly they are stated | 0 to 2 |
| Value | Real cost per day compared with plain alternatives | 0 to 2 |
| Buying terms | Refund window, subscriptions, shipping and how easy support is to reach | 0 to 2 |
For each criterion, 2 means clearly good, 1 means acceptable with caveats and 0 means poor or not disclosed. The breakdown is shown next to every score so you can see where points were lost.
The score is our own editorial judgement. It is not a customer rating, not an average of reviews and not based on sales. We do not publish star ratings collected from buyers, review counts or "aggregate" ratings, and we never invent them. A score changes only when the facts change, for example a new formula, a new price or new research, and the page then carries an updated date.
Reading the evidence
Human research comes first: randomised trials and systematic reviews carry the most weight, small or short studies less, and animal or test-tube results are labelled as exactly that. A result seen at one dose does not carry over to a product that contains less, or that hides the amount in a blend.
On benefits pages we set each claim from the seller against the strength of the evidence for it. When there is no published study of the product itself, which is common, we say so plainly. Our evidence grades are explained on the about page.
Prices, refunds and official websites
Prices and packages are copied from the seller's official order page, and refund terms from the seller's own terms or refund policy and the payment processor's checkout. Tax, shipping and currency can change the final amount, and sellers change offers often, so every price page tells you to confirm the price at checkout.
We identify the genuine store from the seller's own pages and checkout, note the name that appears on card statements, and list the support contacts the seller publishes. Our order links go only to that official store through an affiliate link. We do not send readers to marketplace listings, which can be unauthorised resellers.
What we never do
- Invent testimonials, reviewer names, ratings or review counts.
- Present the seller's testimonials as independent reviews, especially when the seller's own terms say they may be actors or dramatised.
- Backdate pages. The published date is the day the page went live.
- Promise results, or describe a supplement as a cure or treatment for a disease.
- Use stock photos of people as if they were customers.
Money and corrections
Links to order pages are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The commission is the same whatever our verdict, and it never decides a score or the order of a list. More detail is in our disclaimer.
We are not doctors, and nothing here is personal medical advice. If you spot a factual error or an outdated price, write to [email protected]. We correct the page and update its date.
