Key takeaways

  1. 01 Per capsule the label prints vitamin D3 (50 mcg), vitamin B1 (100 mg) and chromium (1 mg), plus a 525 mg proprietary blend.
  2. 02 The blend holds Sukre (L-arabinose) fiber, theobromine, green tea leaf, eleuthero root, theacrine, cinnamon bark and gymnema leaf, with no dose for each.
  3. 03 Other ingredients are the hypromellose capsule, microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate and stearic acid.
  4. 04 The three studies we link are research on L-arabinose, not tests of Gluco6 itself.

Gluco6 is built around one lead ingredient and a short supporting cast, which makes the label easier to read than most in the blood sugar aisle. This page goes through it item by item. The roles below are the seller’s own statements, repeated as such and never as results we tested, and every figure comes from the Supplement Facts panel.

The 525 mg blend contains, in the order the label prints them:

Blend ingredientSeller’s stated role
Sukre prebiotic fiber (L-arabinose)The lead ingredient, presented as a healthy sugar
TheobromineNo role described on the seller’s page
Green tea (Camellia sinensis) leaf, 98% polyphenols, 65% EGCGSupport for healthy weight management
Eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticosus) rootNo role described on the seller’s page
Theacrine, sold as TeaCrineHarnessing the power of Chinese tea
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia) barkSupport for a healthy insulin response
Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre) leafTraditional use, linked by the seller with sugar cravings

A serving is one capsule, and a bottle holds 30 servings. The label shows no individual doses inside the blend, and we have not guessed any.

Sukre (L-arabinose)

This is the ingredient the seller builds its story around. L-arabinose is a plant fiber, and the seller markets it under the name Sukre, describing it as a healthy sugar. The seller’s account revolves around the sugar in your meals, and Sukre is the piece it puts first. The label lists it as a prebiotic fiber at the head of the blend. Because the blend carries one total, the exact amount of Sukre in each capsule is not published.

Green tea, theacrine and theobromine

These three belong together because they are the caffeine-type compounds on the label. The green tea leaf extract is stated at 98% polyphenols with 65% EGCG. TeaCrine is the brand name for theacrine, and in the seller’s words it is how Gluco6 taps into the strength of Chinese tea. Theobromine has no role stated on the seller’s page. The seller positions green tea around healthy weight management. Because these compounds act in a caffeine-like way, shoppers who are sensitive to caffeine should keep them in mind, and we return to that on the safety page.

Gymnema

Gymnema sylvestre leaf has a long history of traditional use. The seller connects it with sugar cravings, which fits the bottle front’s line about helping reduce cravings. The label gives no separate amount for it.

Cinnamon and chromium

Cinnamon is cassia cinnamon bark here, and the seller describes it as support for a healthy insulin response. Chromium sits outside the blend with a dose of its own, 1 mg as chromium niacinate, and the seller calls it essential for keeping glucose levels stable. Because chromium is already in each capsule, the seller’s FAQ recommends caution with any other formula that is rich in chromium.

Vitamin D3, vitamin B1 and eleuthero

The seller’s headline list, which it calls the Super 6, names Sukre and TeaCrine, then gymnema, chromium, cinnamon and green tea. Beyond those, the label carries theobromine, eleuthero root, vitamin D3 and vitamin B1, and the seller’s page does not explain what they are for, so we do not invent roles for them. They are simply part of what you swallow each morning.

What else is in the capsule

Hypromellose, a vegetable material, forms the shell. Four more items complete the list under other ingredients: stearic acid, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and microcrystalline cellulose. On its badges the seller lists gluten, BPA, nuts, crustaceans and egg as absent, and it calls the product non-GMO, vegetarian, plant-based, soy-free and dairy-free. If you have a food sensitivity, read the panel again when your bottle arrives.

The research behind the lead ingredient

The seller’s page lists three references, and we opened all of them. They are about L-arabinose, the Sukre ingredient, and none of them put Gluco6 itself to the test. They do not show that the capsule works, and we would never frame them as if they did.

  • A 2000 paper from Japan. It appeared in the Journal of Japanese Society of Nutrition and Food Science and studied L-arabinose in people after sucrose-containing food. Read the paper.
  • A 2015 rat study. Published in Food and Nutrition Research, it examined L-arabinose in rats on a high-carbohydrate, high-fat diet. Read the paper.
  • A 2011 dose-response study. Published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, it looked at L-arabinose and intestinal sucrase activity in the lab and in people. Read the PubMed entry.

How to read a blend label

Many supplements print one total for a group of ingredients, and Gluco6 does it for seven of them. The practical way to use that is to compare label to label: note which ingredients each product names, check whether each has its own dose, and weigh the price per day. The ingredients that do carry doses here, vitamin D3, vitamin B1 and chromium, make easy comparison points. For questions about amounts or sourcing, email [email protected] or call (866) 864-7721.

Badges the seller shows

The seal strip on our hub page repeats the seller’s manufacturing claims: US production, a GMP-certified and FDA-registered facility, plus non-GMO status. All of them are flagged as the seller’s own, and we have not inspected any facility ourselves.

How the capsule is taken

The label directs one capsule, once a day. For timing, the seller’s FAQ points to the start of the day: before breakfast, with water. Thirty capsules last 30 days, so the three packages stretch to 60, 90 and 180 days. If you take any medicine, the seller tells you to continue taking what you have been prescribed until a healthcare professional says otherwise, and the label wants a physician consulted first by anyone who takes a medication or has a medical condition. Our safety page lists questions worth bringing along.

To see how the formula turns into a monthly cost, our price page lays out the packages and the per-day numbers.
